Oftewel windondersteunde scheepsaandrijving, moderne ontwikkelingen in zeilende (vracht)schepen.
De eendaagse Engelstalige W.A.S.P. cursus is onderdeel van de GZV-examenvakken “Vierkante tuigage en onconventionele tuigage” en “scheepsbouw van zeilschepen en moderne windschepen”.
De cursus kan door alle geïnteresseerde zeevarenden worden gevolgd, in de klas of online
Het kan noodzakelijk zijn om de basis te refreshen, daarom krijgen alle deelnemers vooraf het online lesmateriaal aangeboden van de vakken:
- Zeiltheorie: theorie van de voortstuwing door de wind (ongeveer 3 uur studietijd).
- Basis meteorologie (ongeveer 3 uur studietijd)
