Who works at the school?
The Enkhuizer Zeevaartschool is more than just a school. It is also a place where people with a passion for sailing come together. Gaining knowledge, broadening networks, and being together is important. This applies to students as well as teachers and employees.

Who are the teachers?
Our teachers bring as much sailing practice as possible into the classroom to keep the theory alive. Most teachers have built up years of experience on board many ships or in the practice of their field.

Who are our students?
Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and motivations.
- Professional and recreational sailors who want to progress to a position as an officer or captain
- Inland waterway sailors and skippers who want to obtain their Certificate of Competency
- Young people interested in a career at sea
- Crew of (super)yachts who want to obtain STCW certification
- Merchant navy professionals who want to switch to sailing ships
- Adventurers who want to increase their knowledge
Every year in October, between 100 and 130 new students start at our school for the Large and Small Commercial Sailing programs. In addition, another 150-200 people follow one of the various training sessions or courses.
