Foundation and finances
The Enkhuizen Nautical College Foundation (RSIN 008176772), which does not receive government subsidies, aims to enable everyone, regardless of prior education, to pursue maritime education. Within the school building at Kuipersdijk 15 in Enkhuizen, which is owned by the foundation, the recognized training programs Kleine Zeilvaart (Limited Sailing), Grote Zeilvaart (Unlimited Sailing) and the courses MARCOM-A, boatswain, sailmaking, safety training for inland navigation (deckhand and emergency response) and the STCW courses Basic Safety Training, Safety Training Sailing Vessels, Radar Navigator Operational Level, ECDIS and Medical First Aid are provided.
Income is derived from tuition fees and donations. The funds obtained are invested in our education and the maintenance of our school building and instruction vessel ‘Kaatje’.
Remuneration for those involved is as follows:

board members receive no compensation other than a possible reimbursement of expenses;

employees are compensated according to the salary regulations established by the board;

teachers are freelancers and receive market-conform compensation appropriate within the non-profit sector.
