However, this training program is a very large step toward your Certificate of Competency for a specific position. Your diploma from this program serves as the certificate of theory, a component of your Certificate of Competency. The program is designed for commercial shipping, but other interested parties are also welcome. Many of our students want to learn more about navigation and sailing on private vessels, luxury yachts, or other ships.  <\/p>\n<h3>Admission requirements<\/h3>\n<p>There are no admission requirements.<\/p>\n<p>However, some practical experience in professional sailing is an advantage.<br \/>\nThe program is for people aged 18 and older.<br \/>\nAre you younger than 18 and still want to take this course?
