Book<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Applying for a Seaman&#8217;s Book<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <strong>seaman&#8217;s book<\/strong> can be applied for at KIWA<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To submit this application to KIWA, you need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proof of enrollment in a maritime training program, such as KZV<br \/>\nOr an employer&#8217;s statement from a ship manager or maritime employer<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A passport photo<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A copy of your ID<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are costs associated with applying for the Seaman&#8217;s Book.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Proof of enrollment<\/strong> in a maritime training You are therefore an assistant on deck, without a management role. For KZV, the number of sailing days that may be signed off on inland waterways is a maximum of half.  <\/li>\n<li>The Certificate of Proficiency must be applied for within four years after obtaining your certificate of theory. This means that the signed-off tasks must be a maximum of 4 years old. <\/li>\n<li>You may have sea time and tasks signed off even before you start school!
